M.Zane is a tough dective she never lets anyone know her first name. That was a code name when she was on the other side of the law. Zane may be in her fifties but she is one tough lady.
With her raspy voice (too many cigarettes for too many years) she absolutely makes men's blood freeze. Oddly, Father Manfred likes her and helps her when he can. Ruby at the bank trusts her too, though she has never caught her picking a lock.
