I don't mean to complain, but...

I submitted a finished mystery a while ago (At least one or two months ago), but it still says it's awaiting an editor.

I'm not complaining, but I'd maybe like an explanation. Is there a drop in activity? An abundance of submitted mysteries? Just what is the average waiting period for submitted mysteries?

There really isn't an "average" waiting time for scripted mystery submissions at this point. Unfortunately, we only have a small number of editors that are currently active.

I'm sorry your mystery is taking so long. Please keep in mind that even once you see an editor is working on it, we are also working on other things as well and so it still may take a while. However, it is not being ignored, and one of us will get to it as soon as we can. Promise.

Also please note sometimes the Editors are lost for words and don't know how to tell someone 'try again' :) We do kinda prevaricate when it comes to rejections. Also we often look at the authors bio page to see if they are 'active', if they are not, then we tend to put them in the freezer. We're not perfect, but we try. We have one SM waiting to be uploaded and a couple being edited.

I've picked this mystery up, but please note I have two others on the go, and Ani has three.
