Does anyone know why sometimes I don't get any skill points when I solve a case?

Are they on the favor cases (ie, the cases you do for the tailor or barber?) or on regular cases?

wireshaper, you are getting too good! As you gain in experience points, you will need more of them to gain each skill point. So the harder the cases, the faster the skill points will come your way. But even when you get up to solving ridiculous cases all the time, you won't be getting a skill point each time. And if you play long enough, you'll have more skill points than you need anyway.

See, and that's why we're glad to have Moonshh. I read skill points, but my mind says EXPERIENCE points. So thanks for giving a definite answer, and sorry for confusing you, wireshaper.

I understand why I don't always get skill points, but it sucks when my client is guilty so I don't get money or skill points.

you have to get in alligence with The Dies Acronym Brotherhood by doing favors at the church. They will teach you the art of pick pocketing then you will get paid even if your client is guilty

And you should get skill points even if your client is guilty, I think. Because you still get experience points then, right? So maybe you just weren't due a skill point right then, coincidentally?
