Well it never took off over on the AVL site, so Dawg Pound Investigations is proud to announce that we will be holding a tournament. lilangel and myself have been working the past few weeks to get enough teams interested and finally have them together. If all goes well, there will be more tournaments to follow which we will make open to all agencies. Our tournament will begin on Monday, April 14 and will be 4 or 5 rounds. details can be viewed here:

Any questions feel free to PM me. We will also use this thread for any trash talking that the players want to begin with. Let the fun begin! :-D

Oops, my mistake, Sirens does not have 2 matches!

The Intelligence Agency will be playing Endeavour Investigations.

Thanks to Aknas for pointing out my mistake! ;-)

Just wanted to say that tomorrow is much better for me as a start date than Wed, but if it can't be sorted in time never mind. I'm logging off for the day now but will go and sit in Shangri-La drinking tea just in case.

nah nah pittypat. *blushes* skimmed right over what you said lol.

I was just concerned that some newbie who had jumped in and joined a team didn't have an overt amount of pressure placed on them and have the experience ruined. I thought the 5 person roster was a great idea to make sure that if someone, say, got mowed down by a bus there would be people to cover them, and I couldn't understand why that very functional aspect wasn't being utilized, that's all :)

Hunting should be fun... well as fun as removing limbs without anesthetic can be :D

Good luck to all in the next round :)

heh next month see me and pittypat battle it out over a 12 hunt grudge match spanning the next decade :D

I'll be standing in for ML for Endeavour.

I take no prisoners.
Or
I do take prisoners

Whichever is worse ;)

Ok all, here's the deal. A few things came up that we didn't foresee. Remember this is our first time doing this. I welcome any and all constructive criticism. We dropped the ball for the start of Round 2 and there are some that can't start tomorrow now so the start will be on Wed. (I'd have liked to have started tomorrow as well FWIW)

Bottom line is this is almost like a Beta tourney, we can work out the kinks for future tourneys. All criticism will be accepting by me as long as it doesn't say things like "you suck", "Hey pinhead" , you get the idea.

Things I do like to see though are "Hey ctown, I have a girl for you", Hey ctown, I want to give you money" ;-)

Apologies for any confusion with this all, I agree with SS that it is supposed to be fun!

First of all , SS's point is the only point when you play. Not only Sleuth , but each and every web browser game is designed to allow people to escape from their reality and join other communities like Sleuthville's which is fantastic! However , real life and each aspect of it matters much more than a game that offers you entairtainment and cyber-social activity:)

Now , regarding to the next round of the AVL , I don't really get why the next round doesn't start tomorrow since a discussion about it is already being made. 3 out of 5 TIA's members will have a hard time playing during this weekend but anyway we'll be there to do what we do best in TIA , huning villains!

Now that is well said Mits. Weekkends are bad for me so if the hunt goes beyond 3 days and runs into Saturday then that might cause a problem, however I shall be on the hunt regardless. Go TIA!!

Mistux, part of the reason is that some of us as soon as we saw the Wed start date we made plans around it being that date. The first I knew of the proposal for the start date to be shifted back to Monday was when I read about it on Monday which would have placed me at a significant disadvantage for that round.

Also remember that not all of us read the forums everyday. For start dates I have been using the dawg pound site for info.

WE do apologize for any confusion. It was basically miscommunication on our part. We'd like to thank everyone for understanding and hope there will be no future mixups.
