I want to ask how to buy books?

Books are all around. Visit the different places you don't normally go to in a case. PM me if you still have problems.
I think missions are only available outside of New York. In London, you ask the librarian and she sends you after an overdue book, in Delhi, the Postal Clerk wants you to deliver packages to townies in other cities. Either way, the money you get to do the mission is NOT enough to cover the traveling cost, so people pick up a mission and hold it until they have to travel for treasure hunting or other reasons.

Missions are only for subscribed members, so you won't find them unless you're subscribed.

THe only way to visit ANY city other than New York, is to be a subscribed player and travel there!

Hi - you can't travel outside of New York without subscribing. That's why you aren't eligible for missions.
