OK Shady prices are no big deal, just a little saving. Until, you get very high experienced.

A long time ago I stopped guessing. But I am an idiot sometimes mistakingly accuse wrong. Most, if not ALL of the time, it is because I think I already went through all evidence but didn't.

I usually try to keep double the shady money in my account. But once I have paid off Shady, it takes weeks and weeks for me to get at double the money status again. And I also would like to give some cash to my agency.

This is because, there are no games beyond earning $1040 (or was it 1070?), or $4800 for a favour case alternatively.

I currently have to pay Shady well over 400K. And this is not getting any easier.

I was wondering what the opinions are of other high experienced players now?

1. Should there be a limit to shady?
2. Should Shady be adjusted after a certain amount of experience, ie the costs advance less fast.
3. Should there be any alternatives to getting rid of falses? If so what?
4. Should it stay as is?

How about a higher level of case?
How about in those cases have info needed from NON evidence witnesses.. Like Witness info but from Townspeople? Or harder to Identify False alibis.. go thru and question a couple townspeople.. Like.... You go check the alibi and get "He left here at 11:00am.. but the murder occured at 12:30pm.. go talk to the Butcher..."

I definately think this could play into the higher pointed equipment as well.

Have cases with more suspects, and that pay more $$

Meaning we could have higher equipment that is used, and you don't need to make room by redusing other things, just make HARDER cases ;)

Or to add to rivergallery's Idea. Make a harder level of case that works kind of like a treasure hunt. Where you have to do favors for certain people to get information out of them. This would mean saving that particular case in an agency case file and thus getting more people to subscribe so they could do these high level cases.

Unfortunately, I don't think you can make it any harder then rediculously hard. Besides, it would give more experience points (and shady prices increase more), and results to more failed and quits. And doesn't alleviate the problem, because I still play rediculously. A level above that, would just be bad return of investment.

I think we should either cap it, after 1 million experience. Whatever the amount of money it is you pay at 1 million experience, does not increase in shady prices, going beyond that. I mean even paying shady 250K, is still a lot of money, and takes you a while to recover from, even playing on rediculously.

Or it should be significantly be reduced in percentage. But even then, the higher it gets, the longer it takes to get well. Problem is still not solved.

An option is to let the higher difficulty level give higher rewards. At stupendously and rediculously. The problem with that is, it gives an unfair advantage to people who can play rediculously, but are not above 1 million experience.

Another way is to invent more stuff that earns more money. Like giving us interest. :) Or a bonus being in the top 10 players. Rewards for progressing above a certain experience level. If we donate real life money to Sleuth, or order merchandise, to get Sleuth money back (now that would be an incentive for people to donate.) It also builds in a previously suggested feature, is to be able to rescue your detective in emergency. My big fear is, of jstkdn retiring, at some point. I am no where near to that, but one day I will surely be. And I will surely not start all over with a new detective, once I get killed on this detective.

What I mean to say is, I am willing to pay real life money, in an absolute emergency. Instead of retiring from the game completely.

Another idea is to swap skill points, for money. Like 10K for each point. High level players, usually have a lot of them, just hanging around.

Honestly there isn't a real need for change, because there really is no reason to make a false accusation. There's always the option to quit a case if you're not certain. Those who are daring enough to guess should be willing to pay the price, right? As far as making things tougher, most of those who seem to suggest this aren't at a level high enough to experience just how tough this game really is, because it gets progressively harder, believe me!

The thing is, I don't guess. I mess up by accident. But an accident, is getting WAY too expensive.

I mess up too. The prices get too much and it takes a very long time to earn the money for shady. Can there a way to do a favor for him to make the price come down. Or even a way to earn more money?
