Just a bag of thought...

This isnt exactly a newbie question, but just a situation wherein comments and suggestions would be appreciated.

I just recently experienced accusing a conspirator and he fled to the last city. Thing is, I still have 2 turns left for the day. Are those 2 turns automatically wasted?

I know that one cannot do normal cases during the duration of a Villain Hunt but I was hoping that there would be a way for us to save or spend our cases at least rather than it be automatically nulled.

In lieu of this situation, how about detectives get to be able to have a maximum of 20 cases. The way it works is we still only get 12 cases per day, but if and when we fail to use up all of them, the next day's cases would add to your previous 12. However, itll only be a maximum of 20 saved cases so as not to be too priviledged. This will help in villain hunts so no turns are wasted waiting for the reset and will give the subscribers a slight boon for when they fail to log in and play all the cases (which happens a lot to most of us.)

I am aware that AVH doesnt have a time requirement, but most people if not all, still want to complete the villain hunts in the shortest possible time and with the least amount of turns spent uncovering the needed clues. In this regard, when each one of the turns is very important, detectives shouldnt be caught in a situation where actual turns get taken away from them.

P.S. Heres the reason and circumstance behind all this thought. =)

The reason I posted was because, the first clue I got in Shanghai (2 days ago) was I think, "West/East of the racetrack", the problem was right after that screen went up, a blackout occurred, when it came back on, it was hours later and I didnt remember correctly whether the clue was West or East. I spent the other 11 cases for the day and got the other clues but not the West or East one which I needed so I could accuse. I had a slight memory that it was West but I didnt want to guess and wanted to be sure about the location of the conspirator. The next day, I again spent 12 cases, and as bad luck would have it, not 1 was the one I needed. And today I had to spend another 5 cases to finally get the right clue. I then went to Delhi and spend a few more lucky turns and got to accuse. But then I found out I had 2 more cases left and I cant use them for anything. I would have wanted to use them at least for normal cases, not that 2 cases are such a big deal, but still that is 2 turns that could be of use.

And yeah, this isnt supposed to be a mad rant, just a vehicle for thought. Would appreciate any comments or input. =)

In some situations (and feel free to delete if you feel this is spoiler information), it is more strategic to use the two cases to travel to a city that is closer to the one you have to go to than the one you're in. Ie. you're in Delhi, and the next city is New York. You can use your two leftovers to travel to Shanghai, meaning the next day you only use three cases to travel instead of four.

Doesn't seem like much, but one case can make all the difference for that last pesky clue you need :)

Oooh thanks. That is indeed a very good strategy. Gonna go check the maps now.

Occasionally though, like me last night, having two spare cases would not have brought me anywhere closer for the next day by traveling. If I can remember to think before pressing the capture button, (very difficult for me sometimes), I will also remember that I can capture anytime I want to. So I did those two cases to not waste them and then went ahead and hit capture so I could relax, watch my villain head out the door and prepare to spend the night in the agency telephone booth.

Another thing that has been intriguing me, but I was afraid to bring attention to because it might jinx my awesome "luck" is that ever since I started on my first villain hunt, which was about 3 weeks ago, I havent been pirated once. But now that Ive confessed it and in the process of capturing this villain which is by coincidence a sea Captain, Im sure theyll look extra hard for me when theyre reading through the manifests next time. -.-
