Is there a way to open communications with an editor as to why a random intro was turned down? It doesn't say who edited it. I accept the comment but feel sad, the balloon intro was my favourite to write! I don't get the conflict of why it doesn;t fit in with the standard crime scene, it isn't that off and I recal reading a case intro about a theft, no mention of murder. It clashed hugely with the crime scence. I think mine doesn't overly. For those of you who want to have your say on if it does it is on the Ona Mission website.
Actual text at the top of your intro Stoobs, written by yours truly, which by and by, has NOT been rejected, but is just in abeyance...
"(July 9) Stooby this doesn't actually gel with the stock standard crime scene...?!"
... add that this is the crime scene (post evidence search) on my AI case I'm doing right now, that I based my editorial note on:
"The first thing I noticed was that it was an unusually tidy murder scene. There was only a small amount of blood on the victim, and not much else in the room seemed to be disturbed. If I had to guess, I would say it was the work of an experienced killer."
I MEANT to mention this when I PM'd you about your SM which as you know, I've been editing, but I suppose the two bodies of work just kind of blurred into one.
So that's completely and utterly my fault. I also meant to say "SS" at the end of that little ** note too.
It was actually MEANT to be a conversation about a hot air balloon crashing into a building and leaving a particularly tidy crime scene! I thought that was a fairly obvious leap... and give you the option to explain to me how you thought it 'worked'...
I also acknowledge that we're fairly lax in the Intro vs Crime Scene Dept. but I thought this one was just too obvious.
Anyway you still have that option to get back to me.
I should also add that this is my fault coz I always tend to edit the 'easy' intros when it's late, the ones I know will be 'good' and 'simple' to click yes to. So I've learnt my lesson and will now just work my way from the bottom up. (Back to teh 500's instead fo the 700's)
So I suspect your next intro will be approved oh... do we think Sleuth Noir will be here in 5 years time!? :p :D
