Cairo and Traveling

1. If I travel to a city will I be there until I travel back somewhere else?
2. Okay, Cairo seems to be taken over by pirates.. Is that just for today or do I have to do something to be able to go there, like you have to do to go to Shanghai?
And yes, I realize I'm not subscribed yet. I'm planning on subscribing tonight.

1. Yes you remain in the city you travel to until you manually travel from it. eg if your subscription lapsed and you were in Cairo you wouldn't be booted back to New York.
2. Yes Cairo is blockaded by evil nasssty pirates. And yes there is 'something you have to do to get to Cairo', just like Shangri La. In fact you have to have to reach Shangri La first in order to gain access to Cairo.
