I always had a thing for cats. I guess it all started in the days I had my imaginary pet firned named Fluffy. Or did I just imagine that I imagined that? :-)))

Anyway, over the span of years I had numerous cats. Mostly from people who wouldn't/couldn't sterilize their cats and periodically were confronted with the trumendous task of looking for volunteers to adopt the newly born kittens.

Other cat lovers here at Sleuthville who want to share their cat experiences here at the boards?

Right now I'm "catless" so I fear Fluffy can show up any day now..... :-))

It so happens that the popular thought in psychology today is that imaginary friends are beneficial to child development. The imaginary friend offers companionship, entertainment, and a needed boost when children are going through tough times such as divorce or relocation. Imaginary friends also help a child develop his conflict resolution skills. Listening to a child's conversations with their imaginary friend can open a window into that child's world, giving a parent insight into that child's fears and challenges.

So, BadAss, you might consider it a blessing if your old friend Fluffy were to actually show up again.

I've had several cats over the years. I currently have Missy, and she looks remarkably like a tiger, even though she's a calico. I grew up with a black-and-white splotched cat named Fudge. Both of them ruled the neighborhood (and the foodbowl), king and queen over all they surveyed.

I grew up with cats as a girl (none imaginary), and have always been a 'cat person'.

The only cat I've owned myself was a stray that I rescued as a kitten. Tragically he was poisioned at the tender age of 2 years by some devious cat murderer. His (or her) identity I never discovered (luckily for them).

That was 7 months ago. I am now ready to become a cat owner again. So have purchased a beautiful wee chocolate persian kitten (not the edible kind). He will be arriving at the end of this month, and I could't be more excited!

Growing up we had a kind of menagerie as kids, at one point owning a peacock :s But cats and dogs were always about.

My cat's name is Feral (true), and she holds me in disdain. I am but a mere co-tenant. She must always either sit on me or above me, as if to prove a point about who owns who. She has two bells, and yet I am constantly brought dead animals not as a present, but as a 'screw you, think these things are gonna stop me'. My nephew has recently diagnosed my cat with ADD.

I would like a dog, but the cat won't let me.

I love cats. I presently reside with a pretty little stray that came to my door a couple of years ago. She has a coat like black velvet with a white chest, white feet and a chubby round black face with white wiskers.
If you stuck a bow tie on her she would look like she was wearing a tuxedo. She has a gentle sweet nature and a large apetite.

My love for cats extends to her large wild cousins and I will always remember the day I was lucky enough to pat a full grown male cheeta. I recently vistied Las Vegas and found my self going back again and again to see the lions at MGM.

Yep I love cats.

Me too, have always been a cat person. I currently have two, Zan and Jana, and they're really terrible pets. They're skittish and scaredy and they pee all over my house. But I'd feel like a jerk getting rid of them, so they continue to do whatever they want for a few more years, until they go to cat heaven.

I had a very clever cat once though named Jasper, a tortoiseshell. She figured out how to open the front door of my apartment and let herself out. You might think that's handy, but not so much when you're out of town and come home to find your front door open...
