What turns you on or off? (one of the many answer-the-post-above threads we've been seeing in the Lounge)

Went to see Saving Private Ryan in the theatre with a male friend. At the end, I peeked at him from the corner of my eye to make sure he wasn't laughing at me for crying. Tears were rolling down his cheeks.

We were just friends, but just for that moment... I never thought seeing a guy tear up would be a turn on.

Agreed with Leddy that someone who can have fun singing even with a bad voice is more of a turn on than someone arrogant.

Disagree with Leddy about Bob Dylan. *vomits*

Okay, guys... Women with buzz cuts?

(I agree with that too. Having fun is more important. But I *do* find a good singing voice attractive in a woman. But not in a sexual way.)

Buzz cuts on women is a turn-off, although a few of my favourite womens' haircuts are *very* short.

Strong, well muscled bodies (both sexes)? (I'm not thinking of body builder types here. Just regular workout.)

I'm sorry. I mixed it up with crew cut or flat top or something.

Lemme change: Buzz cut on women is often a turn on provided they have a nice head shape without bumps and flat parts. Combine that with a tank top, camo pants, some engine grease and well muscled shoulders.. That can be hot.

Tight shirts depends on whomever happens to be wearing them. Depends mainly on whether or not they've kept fit. Fit is good, flabby and tight shirt is bad.

Turn off, but then again I'm very conservative and hate tattoos and pieces anyway other than ears and only if you are a girl.

Mohawks?

turn on, as long as it's a bold "i am who i am" thing, and not just a "i'm punk, look at me i am so bad"

how about... movie buffs?

To a point, it's a turn on. Give me someone who understands that Ed Norton's mirror scene in 25th Hour is Spike Lee's way of acknowledging DeNiro's 'are you talking to me' bit in Taxi Driver and I perk up. Give me someone who ties her hair in Princess Leia buns and scribbles 'Alderaan' over 'Michigan' under 'place of birth' her driver's license and watch how fast I run.

Tragic geniuses?
