SOLVED TREASURE HUNT INFO I ALWAYS HAVE WONDERED WHY??
WHY DOES THE DETECTIVE THAT COMPLETES THE TREASURE HUNT GET THEIR NAME WITH THE TROPHY AND NOT THE OTHER DETECTIVE THAT HAD HELPED WITH A FAVOR , OR EVEN THE DETECTIVE THAT STARTED THE TREASURE HUNT???WHY CAN'T ALL DETECTIVES THAT HELPED COMPLETING FAVORS ALSO BE INCLUDED ON THE TROPHY??I MEAN TREASURE HUNTS ONLY GET COMPLETED UTILIZING TEAM WORK AND IT SEEMS UNFAIR THAT ONLY ONE PERSON GETS THEIR NAME WITH THE TROPHY
??ANYONE FEEL THE SAME OUT THERE OR SHOULD I JUST FORGETABOUTIT??

Sorry about the yellling. I wasn't paying attention. I don't think the City News whould list all but it would be really nice if in the Trophy Room all the names were listed because once you complete the Treasure Hunt you can no longer see those who were involved as could be viewed through your agency active hunts

Here are the problems with changing the city news listing for treasure hunts:

1. If you listed every person in an agency who helped with the hunt, the news would get quite verbose and difficult to read.

2. How would you handle, for instance, a teammate that runs cases every day and holds favors, which intrinsically helps the agency with the hunt, but never is fortunate enough to be holding the needed favor? Is their work then too unimportant to warrant a listing on the city news, and if it is, does that essentially mean that everyone in the agency should be listed for all completed treasures?

I'm certainly not trying to argue your point, Ichiban. I agree that in a perfect Sleuth world, everyone who helped with a hunt would get personal recognition for the victory. However, because of the reasons I listed, I don't think it would ever be possible/viable. The only other solution that comes to mind is dropping the individual's name from the news altogether, but I don't see that as necessary or problem-solving.

You mean archiving the "active treasure hunt" information in the trophy room? That might be possible and not overly difficult to implement.

Don't know that I personally think it's "necessary" though; for me it falls under that category of "it'd be nice if we had it, but it's ok the way it is".

Yeah, I agree. It would be nice. Especially for the whole history bit.

Its also possible to just mention the agency in news without any names. That way its an agency "win" and not the last person who completed it.

I've helped on hunts and don't mind not getting my name in the City News. During the hunt, our names get mentioned in "Active Treasure Hunts" at agency HQ. That's recognition enough for me.

As for the City News, it's nice to see who got the final favor/finished the hunt. It still feels like a team win because the agency is mentioned, but somehow more like a real paper if the lucky last person is mentioned. Did that make sense?
