Forgive this (stupid) question, but what exactly is role-playing in the agencies? I've seen it mentioned several times. (I know, I know, Sleuth is an RPG, but still...) Do you interact with each other as the detective you've created, complete with your own *interesting* personality? Do you get sent to the broom closet if you break character? :) Just curious...

We don't do role playing in our agency but I assume others create a whole new character with biography, lifestyle et al. How far you wanna engage in that depends entirely on yourself :) As far as imagination goes, the sky's the limit I'd say...

At our agency it seems like there are a couple of people who get really into it, writing stories and getting very involved in creating a life for thier charachters. (Something I enjoy. A nice creative outlet.) Others seem to like to sit back and read whats been written. Still others chmie in from time to time. The storyline at Omega is pretty involved and in depth, but there are no negatives if you choose not to participate. hope that helps. :0)

Mr. Harris,

I'm not sure what you mean by role-playing in Agencies. I have found that my professional life has gotten a little easier after joining an Agency. I have received help on some of my cases and I have helped out with others' cases. Because of my Agency's affiliation, I managed to secure 8 contacts in all the cities in less than 2 weeks.

When I'm not working, I do some paperwork in my office, get something to eat in the kitchen, check the mail room or I go visit another Detective in his/her office. I have made some very good friends there. I am thinking of 1 person in particular, but I don't want to embarrass her so I won't mention her name.

I'm originally from NY and I joined an Agency located in Shanghai. I started to miss my family but eventually received mail from my sister, niece, and nephew who also live in NY. Now all the mail is coming in. I'm even getting mail from an old flame. (Can't seem to shake her, but that's another story.)

I see you have been hired by a very reputable Agency. They are very famous because their priority seems to be successfully completing treasure hunts. As a result, they may not have time to socialize. I imagine this makes it difficult to get to know your fellow Agents.

I'm sure each Agency has it's own personality and they are as diverse as they are many. I advise you to consider your own priorities and then follow your heart. I have travelled the world and have found my heart in Shanghai with The Closers. I hope to be employed there for a long time.

Good luck to you and if you have any other questions about Agency life, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

I have to get back to my office. I have a tree that needs watering and I hope to bump into a certain co-worker while I'm there. I'm not too hopeful, she's been difficult to catch up with lately.

Mr. yoyo,

While I have enjoyed working with you and have appreciated all your help in Delhi, I'm afraid you're not my type.

Yes well...

Annnnyway, Hawkeye I think two of the best people to talk to the role playing elements of Sleuth are Justin's team mates, Della Devine and Breitcat from Omega. I'm sure either of them would love to explain to you the elements of role-playing within Sleuth.

(Hope that was OK guys to mention your names in vain :) )

From what I hear, Barry is a big contender in the role-playing aspects of Sleuth.

g'point X ... lol its the AVL *and* all the other bits opening up... sorry my 'yes well' was for Mr Grant's and yoyo's little tryst lol, not for Mr Grant's obvious abilities in the role playing field. He has the kudos for never stepping out of character. Just giving Hawkeye some more options :D definitely my bad.

SS, we are all a bit out of whack today. After the dry spell, we have not one, but two things to explore today!
