Transfering Cases

Ok I helped a bunch of people out with their cases. Now they are sitting in my file area. However i have to wait until they pick them up before I can start doing my cases because i'm full.

So my idea is how about making a way so I can deposite their case back into their case file after I have helped them out. This way we can still do our cases without having to wait and they get their help. like make a button that says deposite case into lets just say John Smith files or something like that. Just a thought what do you think? Basically i just think the ability to transfer their case back to them would be cool.

If it isn't going to affect storage capacity, it should only be transfered back to the person who either opened it or last had it. There has to be some down side to transfering a ton of cases to someone else.

well, you wouldn't transfer it to a random third party, only the person it belonged to!

but the problem is what if that person is full already? then that person would have to take it back anyway and you'd still have to wait

chances are slim that the other persons would be full because they would have transferred the cases they helped other people with to their files. so unless that person stored all their own cases it should be open. it kind of works like a chanin. i transfer the other persons case to them they transfer the cases they helped people with to them and so on. that way it should keep your storage open.

Right the only cases you transfer are to the person you have helped.

I wholeheartedly agree! Plus, could we mark where a case originated? Sometimes I help someone and forget whom I am supposed to mark it for. If we could see "originating agent" or "client contact" or something, it would help.
