Ran, I've been wanting to purchase pugilism and now have the required skill points. Do you recommend I save them or should I purchase pugilism?

I know you asked Ran, but thought I'd give you my 2 cents worth too. ;)
As a tough detective, yes, puilism is a good skill to have. Especially if you have all your tough skills. It enhances your tough skills by 10 everytime you use it. It's like putting on a single piece of equipment that is worth +10 tough.

I do agree with CFM on this, it is more important to have those basic skills than any new ones that will come out.
Pugilism will help you solve more cases, likely faster, so you can earn the skill points for the next new skills.
