Lost is fine but that damn Kate drives me nuts. What a whiny, tragic, meldrama, tarty drama queen she is. Constantly playing the males off one another while not caring less about any of the females.
Not to mention a self - involved, self - important, attention seeker that needs to be in the centre of everything.

Character: I'm going down the hatch.
Kate: (whiny) ME TOO! I WANNA GO TOO!

Character: I'm going to put this radio transmitter on the hill.
Kate: (whiny) ME TOO! I WANNA GO TOO!

Character: I'm going for a crap in the bush.
Kate: (whiny) ME TOO! I WANNA GO TOO!

I love Lost...I have Lost parties every week. I know, I'm a nerd, right?

But seriously, I'm addicted to that show...We don't watch it like other people though. It isn't about entertainment here...It is about finding all the "eggs" J. J. Abrams and company put in the show to help you figure out the overall mystery.

Funny, I have never found Kate to be whiny and I'm a huge hater of the whiny female on TV shows...To me it just seems like she isn't willing to give Jack total reign over the decision making process, and as one who loathes Jack, I like that about her. And as for the only other two female main characters on the show, she has helped them...She has been with Sun through a lot and she was one who went with Clair to get the "vaccine" when Jack was ready to write her off as an overprotective mother. And I guess she does have to be the center of attention at times, but that has a lot to do with the fact that Kate was originally slated to be the main character of the show. Jack was scripted to die in the first episode, but the execs at ABC said they didn't think it would be the best idea to kill off the character the audience had put their faith in right out of the gate, so they had to retool a bit.

Sorry, to disagree with you LED...Lost is my passion, and I fully admit my bias here...I'm a John, Sawyer, Kate, and Charlie fan, and as I said I HATE, HATE, HATE Jack.

Hehe...IMHO Kate should definitely stop playing games with the men on the island and just wake up and see that Sawyer is who she needs.

I wanna get Lost and soon...How can I wait till September.

LOL!!! Eggs is a term that is used to refer to hidden clues in TV shows and movies...Especially those with some overarching mystery.

J J Abrams, the producer of Lost, and some of the other creators and execs have said that the show is full of them. They are in the lines, names, props, recurring themes, etc. Abrams even said he put a few Lost Eggs in Mission Impossible 3. A really, really, really basic example from the first season was Sawyer reading the book Watership Down, which has a theme that relates strongly to the show. There are much more important ones, but all I can/will say is that once you know what to look for you know what to look for...Just about everything on that show has more than one meaning...There's what's on the surface and then there is the deeeper meaning.

I know not much help, usually I'm all about being the spoiler queen and will tell you anything you want to know be about a movie/tv show/or game, but not when it comes to Lost LOL

Just about everything on that show has more than one meaning...There's what's on the surface and then there is the deeeper meaning.

I used to be counted amongst the Lost faithful. *sighs* Until it slowly dawned on me that if I just watched the trailer for the next weeks episode, and watched the adds that came on throughout the week, I would actually know as much as if I sat down and watched an episode. Don't get me started on the repetitive episodes gathered around the flipping hatch! *sighs*

They had so many hatch eps to explain why looke wasn’t getting a tan after twenty something days on the island lol! To tell you the truth I only which it for Charlie aka Dominic Monaghan. And now you know what Dominic Monahan means.

You can get the seasons on DVD, I'm not sure if the second season is out yet...I have the first season and it came out towards the end of the summer last year. I also know that you can download the eps to an IPOD and you will soon (if not already) be able to watch them at abc.com.

I love Lost too. i love Dominic Monaghan too!! i think kate is WAY too whiny as well. she alllways has to be the centre of attention, no matter what. its really annoying. i don't like Jack either though, to me he just acts like he knows everything(especially in 2nd season) even after all through the 1st season, he didn't want to be the leader. Talk about a hipocrit! I like Hurley though, i think he's funny and nice.
