Heya guys! I'm kind of a noob about this game. Is there like any tips to solve cases?

I just quit one where all my suspects did not have the footprint I found at the crime scene. Is that possible? I quit but, curiosity killed the cat.

I have a bit of a problem about the favors. I've done the music teacher a favor, but she isn't listed as a contact on my detective page. Why? :((((

Just becasue you do a favor for someone does not mean they automatically become your contact.

As you continue to do favors there is an ever growing chance that the person you are doing the favor for will become a contact.

Remember you can only have one PE and one WE townie for a contact in each city. One of the reasons to subscribe, to travel to different cities and earn different contacts.

The reason for the extra posts above this question is hitting refresh rather than clicking on the link to go to the new post. Refreshing re-submits the previous message you sent.

Hey guys, how did you all do the HARD and REALLY HARD cases? I so called "die" there. The one I quit was "Hard". Everyone clammed up, and according to the fortune teller, I had more suspects. -_-

I have this stress skill, I forgot what it's called. I went to the suspects, and it says that they would only answer 1 Q. How u know what to choose? The alibi or the ask for "people with motive" tag?

Jolyn, in order to solve cases with an increasing level of difficulty more successfully -- you have to gain more experience, skills, and items that boost your skills.

Stick to the Easy and Intermediate cases for the time being and try a harder case once you are a little more experienced...then witnesses and suspects are less likely to clam up, etc.

I agree with Serena, Jolyn -moving up before you're ready will only cause you heartache. You'll feel bad, write a bad country song about the whole thing...all very undignified.

You bought stress detection. That whole 'only 1 question' thing isn't actually set in stone; depending on your skills you can have a chance to either charm or intimidate witnesses and suspects into answering more. Given that you have a 'smart and charming' archetype, you should concentrate on getting the charming skills and gear.

As to the question of asking for other people with motive vs asking alibi, there are some disagreements here...I always ask the motive question first, to make sure I get the full suspect list.

Check out the Welcome Newbies thread and good luck, happy sleuthing!

Me too, I always ask for motive first...But that is purely opinion

I have the interrogation skill. But the thing is some suspects don't say a damn thing after 1 question. And if you choose the motive, how u get the alibi?
