Crime Lab vs. Cost

Is it worth it to move to a bigger agency office with a crime lab?

Is a crime lab soo much of a help that it's worth the added cost? Or would it be better in the begining to go for more locker space. Right now we only have 4/locker and no lab and I can move to a place that stores more stuff but no lab.

The one I can afford with a lab has less locker space.

I find the lab is most useful when...
a)you don't have all the contacts for a certain city in an agency
b)you have detectives that are missing one or two advanced smart skills
c)you have all the smart skills between the detectives in your agency

If you have all the PE contacts though, the lab is almost obsolete.

What exactly does the lab do?

I read some old topics that say the lab can only be used once a day. Has that changed? Or is it once a day per dective in the angecy?

It seems useless to have only 1 use a day in an agency that has 10 detectives who might need it.

Not to disagree (because I think CFM has it right there) but to offer a different perspective.

I think the Crime Lab is more important to you than the Locker Space. As a new detective you need all the help from other detectives you can get. The crime lab and cases files are the most important.

Having more locker space is better when you have several experienced detectives that want to switch gear during cases or have a set of traveling gear versus home city clothes.

When you have all experienced detectives and/or all the PE contacts for your city between the detectives of your agency then the lab does become mostly obsolete.

Each detective can analyize evidence once per day, but not on your own case.

Huh? So I could use my smart skills to help other dets., but not myself?

In the lab, yep. And they can help you.

Lame! I thought you'd be able to use to help yourself as well. :(
I think I've got the most smart skills in the agency. Not too sure.
