*giggles* Well, Mak posted twice, so I'm going to post more movies I like!
I love Die Hard. For some reason the line about Asian Dawn and reading about them in 'Time' cracked me up.
Con Air. I can't stand Nicholas Cage, but John Malovitch is great.
I loved Big Fish too and Shrek.. everytime I see it, I still laugh.
The Lethal Weapons are great as is Payback.
The Last Supper (with Cameron Diaz, not about Jesus) is great too.
There's an Italian movie called Everybody's Fine that I love too. I had tears streaming down my face just watching it.
Ohhh, movies are great! I might move to North Korea instead. Apparently that's all Uncle Kim does all day! (Watch movies in his very own movie theatre)

Uncle Kim: "What famine? Shhh. I'm watching Team America!"
*Bang* (Political Advisor dies)

Wow, some really great choices here. One or two that struck me as being a bit odd. The original adaptation of Charlie and the Chocolate factory being one of them. I didn't think Gene Wilder did Wonker justice... he just wasn't quirky enough. He was too nice, too normal and just not eccentric enough. And I don't think Dahl was too happy with the first adaptation either.

In the second adaptation I particularly liked the addition of the Wonker's father as subplot to try and explain why Wonker is the way he is.

As for me I'm quite partial to British Film like
The Madness of King George
East is East
The Full Monty
Billy Elliot
(I assure that it mere coincidence that these films all have connections with FilmFour c.c)

I also like
The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
La Haine
Layer Cake
Heathers
Girl Interrupted
Proof
... ack, can't think of any more films that people haven't already mentioned.

Oh... someone mentioned Big Fish. I didn't get that at all. I had no idea what was going on. Granted I was tired at the time, but still... it was something about stories and truths and lies, or something. :S

Well, being the nerd I am, I like the Spider-Man movies, Star Wars (all of them except the utterly pointless episodes 1 and 2), Back to the Future trilogy is great, Forrest Gump is a work of art, anything by Mel Brooks because the guy is a genius, Clue, Pink Panther (new and original versions), The Wizard of Oz was beautiful, Corpse Bride and Nightmare Before Christmas were more works of art, Princess Bride was grand, as was Sin City.

LemonyShepard! Liking Spiderman does not make you a nerd!
(I heart Xmen too!)
I used to work nights ands crazy hours.. so I'd often go to movies by myself and during the day when not people were in the theatre.

Anyhoo, when I went to the first Spiderman, the part where he's trying to shoot webs and he's all like "Go web!" gave me the giggles and I just couldn't stop.. thewn slowly the second person started laughing.. then the 3rd person until all 5 people in the theatre were laughing.

The stupidest things in movies give me the giggles... there was this part in Fellowship of the Rings when the hobbits are on the hillstop againest the sunset and say something like, "We're off to see the Wizard."

Of course, this was premiere day of LOTR in NZ and it was serious business... so I sat there, trying not to laugh outloud, shaking so hard with the giggles, that later, my flatmate (4 seats away and a diehard Tolkien fan) came up to me and said, "What were you doing?!? The whole row was shaking!!".
