Hello everyone. I’ll be hosting another game of Resistance, and I encourage all lurkers from the previous game(s) to come out and play! We’ll keep it simple with just gameplay and no story this time. And if you’ve never played before, feel free to jump right in, because we all need more imaginary problems to worry about. :)
The game takes place over a series of 5 "missions." The Resistance is trying to complete 3 missions successfully, while the spies are attempting to sabotage 3 missions. First one to 3 wins.
I will serve as game master. Once we get enough people to play (5-10 total), I will PM everyone their allegiance (either "Resistance" or "Spy"). If you are a "Spy," I will also PM you the names of your co-conspirators.
A "leader" will be chosen at random for the first mission. The leader has 2 important functions:
1) The leader will assign various "role" abilities to players. These are one-shot special powers a player can use to learn more information about someone.
2) The leader will assign players to the "team" for that mission.
Missions will have a varying number of players who are selected; the leader picks a team, then every player will vote on whether or not they approve the team by PMing me. Once all the votes are cast, I will post the voting results. If a majority approves the team, the mission starts. If not, the mission does not start, and the next player in line becomes the new "leader" for that round. This continues until either a mission is approved, or 5 consecutive mission teams are rejected (in which case the spies win automatically.)
Once a mission team is approved, those players will PM me their choice of action during that mission. Resistance players will ALWAYS choose to have the mission succeed by sending "Success," while spies have a choice: they can either elect to have the mission succeed (to throw off suspicion), or they can "Sabotage" the mission.

Zara, I for one know you are *not* a spy.
If Bela Talbot III is not a spy in this game I will personally send each and every one of you (except Bela, Ty and Aspen) $50,000 Sleuth dollars.

Well, I guess if Bela is not a spy (fat chance) she should get the $50,000k too.

Sindy, I'm beginning to think that having an official Resistance Sweepstakes would be a great idea for the next game. And maybe everyone playing in Noir would be free to make a wager - not just those actually playing the game. Could make things very interesting!

Sindy, I have to say that this game has me puzzled. It has not made a lot of sense to me from the beginning, as I think I have mentioned earlier. Team selections have me stumped. Ty has been on three teams that actually came to a vote. Sindy and AspenK and shell have been on two, while Bela and Sal have been on one. Here we are on Mission 4 Team 5 and we have no indication how two people, Zara and miss snopes would vote on anything. I think the first two missions are almost throw aways as far as information goes. The first is almost always approved and the second is where the spies go to work. So unless the team selection is just really lucky, since we learned nothing from the first team: now we find that we do have a spy on team two. This is where I had to reconsider my alternating vote, after a second team was chosen and it had voted. The mission failure meant it was time to get serious.
All I can say for sure is that I voted SUCCEED on a failed mission and the shell also voted SUCCEED, but you only have my word for shell's vote, just as we only have your word for Aspen's allegiance. These look like they may be reasonable assumptions, but with two players having not been on a team, there as still question marks.

We have to do something though and I feel pretty comfortable with miss snopes here, probably a little more so than Zara, but only from the tone of their postings. I'm gonna vote for this team and keep my fingers crossed.

The results of the vote on shell's MISSION 4 TEAM 5 Proposal are in.
shell proposed a team of
-Sal
-Bela
-shell
-Sindy
-miss snopes
Aside from a missing vote from Aspen, the mission proposal has been unanimously APPROVED.
The mission is now ready to proceed. Sal, Bela, shell, Sindy, and miss snopes must PM me whether they vote to SUCCEED or whether they vote to SABOTAGE the mission. 24 hours.
**Resistance members must vote SUCCEED, while Spies may choose to vote either SUCCEED or SABOTAGE.**
