Two questions (I'm not looking for a new agency, but I'm curious!):
1. What do you mean by 'posh'? (I know what the word means, I'm just not sure how you're thinking of applying it to an agency.)
2. What is it that decided you against joining one of the existing agencies? (Not that you're under any obligation to join any of them - again, I'm just curious!)

Pull in your claws, Cordelia, dear. I'm sure that many are curious. That's the fun of sleuthing.
1. My character, although haven't written a bio yet, is a moonlighting dilettante, so obviously to stay in character I would want to in a "posh" agency.
2. I've been looking around and I've had offers and I've made offers and I'm not saying that I won't accept any offers, but looking at your nice little penthouse, and sitting there all alone, I can't help but wonder why you haven't made me an offer.
Does that help? Wouldn't want your curiosity to kill ya. I'm not that mean! But thanks for the bump :)

Ms Rose. Please, may I call you Phaedra?
Phaedra, I am extremely impressed by your ambition. Rarely is a new arrival in Sleuthville so anxious or willing to take on the responsibilities and demands, both financial and attentive, of an agency.
We at FBI are presently assessing the possibility that of one of our detectives who has been "on leave" may not return. Should this become the case, I believe we would be very interested in inviting you to join our team. While we do not offer the prestige of a penthouse suite, our converted mansion offices retain much of their original style and class.
On a personal note, I find the prospect of working with an attractive women possessing the self-confidence to sport both a pipe and a bowler hat most exciting. I would be most honored if you would include me and my agency on your short list of options.
Warm regards,
Peter O'Neil

I'm flattered, sir, or may I call you Peter. And, flattery will get most people anywhere. I like that....I like that very much. ;)
Okay. You're on my "short list"!

I say there, Peter, old chap, we need someone with Podiatrist and Concierge contacts in London. Are you falling in love with this beauty and/or her wit?

Why Cordelia, I do think Miss Rose may have stumbled upon your true identity. Although I highly doubt you are sitting alone, especially when you are wearing that black leather outfit.

Shell, honey, you know I'm strictly a G&T girl. Unless you offer me the Dom Perignon, of course.
Phaedra, I don't know why you think my claws are out! Honestly. It's not like curiosity's bad for me - unlike some...

Is this a rauckus? Honestly, I was just trying to figure out this Agency business and thought I could start one either on my own or with other "unwanted" and "like-thinking" newbies.
Cordelia, your curious questioning came at me like getting rammed like a mother lioness who's had her cubs disturbed, and while I don't know Shell, who apparently came to my defense, I have no desire to stir bad blood between either you and her, you and me, or her and me.
Anyway, it looks like Peter O'Neil has taken a liking to me, although Eduard Langston questions his motives. huh?!? But I'm in London now, and working on those contacts.
Btw, is it okay to have a laugh on the "Agency Recruiting" MB? I sure hope so. Everyone seems to be entertained. So I say we break out that Dom and enjoy each other. No cause to be problematic, if we can ALL have a laugh!

Ahhhh, Sir Eduard. I thought you knew me better. I have but one love and she is no longer with us. And while I endeavor to polish my gentlemanly skills (which I am under no illusion will ever approach your fine English upbringing), this Irishman cannot help but to appreciate the company of both attractive, intelligent members of the fairer sex and a good drink.
And similar representatives of our professional colleagues present with Ms Rose? Why question my motives? Mixing business with pleasure does not mean I am either ignoring one or obsessed with the other.

Well, I'm still not sure why a couple of interested questions should provoke the reaction of a lioness, but hey, such is life. Sorry if you felt hassled. It wasn't intended. Good luck with the agency.
