They're probably using teletype to connect the bars in all the cities. If only someone could think of a faster way to "inter"-connect all cities. Like a big network, an international network where people can walk into "virtual" bars and talk with people all over the world. Unfortunately, as far as I know, no such "inter"-national "net"-work exists. Just dreams.
