Greetings, fellow Sleuths! The time has come once again for the annual Sleuthville Arch-Villain Hunt Tournament, where experienced detectives and newcomers alike come together to show off their villain-nabbing skills and make the city a safer place. What better way to spend a hot summer day than with a little friendly competition?
The format will be 16 detectives, randomly paired off into teams of two by a third party, to face one other team. (This hunt will go forward only if there are enough players participating [16]. If not, the tournament will be cancelled altogether.)
The rules:
- As soon as you are matched up with your partner, please POST your team name on this thread.
- Either PM me or POST here as soon as possible if you find that your hunt goes through Cairo, so I can keep accurate records.
- In the spirit of competition, trash-talking is allowed and encouraged, just as long as it is friendly and appropriate.
- You may not PM me to ask for any AVH hunt help or advice.
- If you are unable to compete in a round for whatever reason, you are allowed to ask someone to sub in for you for that round only. This privilege may only be used once per team, and only in emergencies. The player who is subbing in for you may be anyone who is not competing in the current round, even someone who was not initially entered in the competition.
-You bear the responsibility of making sure your partner shows up. No replacements are allowed in this case.
You may:
-Travel to Shangri-La the night before, but NOT start the hunt
-Use a Compact Travel Kit
-Use head of faction privileges
-Use agencies and apartments to swap gear
You may not (enforced only by the honor code):
-Use sidekick cases (for either clues or travel)
-Enter second/third detectives etc.
I reserve the right to disqualify any player from this competition at any time for breaking any of the rules or for behaving inappropriately. All final decisions rest with me.

I know how you feel Molly...I missed ONE day, and *everybody* captures! Sigh...
So, I have some free time between cases; you know what that means! I'll compile everything, and see who's captured who and when and who needs to capture and when...
The Intrepids finish up with a score of 5 days! Great! Both ypsi and Andrew Corelli passed through Cairo, and are thought to have won their round, leaving the triple threat-ers to their match.
Smoke and Mirrors get the job done in 8 days (Guys, did either or both of you go through Cairo? If so, please post; thanks :)
Two Klutzes and a Cat, after a mysterious run, got the first capture, in a mere couple of days. Breitkat is still hunting around in Cairo, while ctown managed a score of 2 days, no Cairo included!
Rumours revolving around a bacon-saboteur abound.
Birth of the Cool, the bookies' favourite, manage a cool three days, courtesy of ShaggyMia, while the seventh Gumshoe in her line, Kathryn hunts Coyotes through Delhi. She has already passed through Cairo, which is currently mired in controversy...
Hell on Heels, the crowd favourite (even if I do say so myself...), have seen their delightfully talkative Talbot, disappear for a while, as she took a break from hunting the notorious Babyface, due to repeating clues, if reports are to be believed. Her wonderful team-mate, pengueener, has already taken care of her Villain, and is raring to go after having caught a member of our respectable judiciary in an unprecedented three days! Bela Talbot III is said to be stranded in New York, posting drivel in a certain Moderator's apartment, clutching a Rabbit's Foot, and wondering whether to accuse the Music Teacher or the Waitress...only time will tell, silly Belly. Have patience.
That's all for today, then...the cases seem to have been replenished while I was busy illuminating all of you; there is evil yet to be thwarted, I must take my leave now...
