Dudgeon was sitting in his office one day, wondering whether he should go onto another case or see if the favor he got might fit into the treasure hunt at some point along the line, (since he never gets the next one needed...), when he went to the statistics page in City Hall. He noticed that ~15,000 people have moved into Sleuth City. That's when a question hit him. He wondered if Ben had any aspirations for how large this City could grow. He keeps making improvements to the city and keeping his subjects happy, so they tell their friends, who move in and enjoy the entity that is now a larger City. Dudgeon gets out his pad and paper, and jots off a quick note. Ben, how large did/do you expect the game to get? Do you have any major goals for it?

The only changed to favors regarding factions was that it was made clear that we do not receive faction points for a favor. It was not a change, just expained a little better.

I like the game the way it is. It loads quickly on my computer, and sometimes the cutscenes can help rule out a suspect. Plus, I loved when the sidebar was returned, so I don't take well to change.

TY for the info., CFM. I thought I was getting points before, but, I wasn't. Also, anything that Ben can create, I will be ecstatic and over- joyed with. Keep the improvements coming so people don't get bored with the game.

Well, I think that a 3D interface would choke Sleuth:
Just think about those Games made in 3d: they never focus on investigations: Max Payne, Mafia, Nocturne (based on Lovecraft's Horror)...
Should Sleuth become 3D, it would just probably turn to a Shoot'em up, gang versus gang...

Investigative games are Usually Point-and-click, such as Syberia, Monkey Island and so on, but more than often they become just a silly "use-this-item-on-that-place-"

I would assume, however, with this same group behind it, the ideas would remain the same. Or, at least, I'd hope they would be.

I don't know if it's just me and the other members of my agency, but we have noticed the game slowing down recently. I am working on a broadband connection and it gets frustrating at times. I guess it's down to traffic as the game gets more popular (Said with no technical knowhow whatsoever) If animation in any way would slow the game down further then please don't do it!! I think that although little movies would be cool, when I'm trying to get through easies as fast as possible in a foreign city trying to beat other agencies to a treasure, I won't want to sit and watch them!

I kinda thought this was worth bumping up. Some interesting insight into what Ben was originally shooting for with the creation of Noir.
