ive performed favors for at least 7 people, how the heck do you gain a contact?? + what are its advantages??

No, you can't change a contact once you have one. But you cannot get two PE (physical evidence) contacts anyway, which is probably where your question is heading. You will eventually get one PE (physical evidence) contact...in NYC this is one of the tailor, shoe maker, banker or barber...and one contact from among the non-PE townspeople.

While a PE contact is certainly more valuable in the long run, nobody gets two PE contacts in the same city.
