I see that you haven't completed any cases that help you with a faction. Whenever you do get a case and you successfully complete it (you'll see which faction the case benefits or not in the twist) you should get +1 for the faction you benefit and -1 for the faction who'd like to see this matter go away. Once you get on somebody's good side, you can bother them everyday, but just once a day to do little jobs for them, and this increases the number of points you have much faster than just solving a case. You can also buy stuff from the factions.

My question though is, When you buy stuff from them, does this increase your relationship points? I didn't notice when I bought a deringer pistol from Dies Arcanum..

Nope, sad to say that they won't like you any better if you buy stuff from them - won't make any difference one way or the other :)

...and if you subscribe & join an agency, you can also get help from other detectives within your agency, with the faction you're working with to get higher pts as well :) (if they come across a faction, that you happen to be working with, they can give the case to you to solve)

Buying stuff wont make them like you, but the price will go down if they like you a lot!
