Going into hiding?

OK, so I'm finally at the Incredibly Hard level mysteries, and all of a sudden my client "feels the heat" and goes into hiding.

Is this a way to eliminate a suspect-like in a lower level where a suspect was murdered? Am I supposed to track him down because it means he must have important information?

What gives?

it does means anything, it could be a murderer, he could have information and was afraid of his life or he simply run away without reason...

However. If he had a fake alibi, I am treating him as a murderer, but you still have to find WE and PE on him... and better don't accuse without it :)

If you ask various people around town, one of them may know where your suspect is hiding. If you ask the right person, your suspect will come back, and you can accuse or ask them questions like normal.

To further the points above.

A runner is there to increase the difficulty of the case. The suspect may or may not be the murderer.

The additional work is that you obviously can not accuse some one you can not talk to. So you will have to visit the non-PE townies to see if they know where the person is hiding to get them to come back.

This will be easier if you have Underworld Connections (faction skills).

Going in to hiding is - as mentioned -just to make it harder. You can't assume anything about guilt (unlike death of a suspect which clears them). But it means you need to be a little more careful in asking for alibi confirmation from the non-pe townies, since you don't want to use up all your questions, and then find you need to ask them to help with your disappearing suspect too.

Underworld connections is GREAT for this - but pretty expensive if you are starting out.

This is a good thing to mark in the Mod Picks. Heck, it will appear sooner or later again. This is very useful, in my opinion.
