I'd like to add 5 to 10 new favor items to the game. I'm mostly looking for more powerful items (up to +5 bonus), but would consider adding some lower level ones.

If you have any ideas, please post them here.

Forensic/investigative fingerprinting has been around since the early 1900s, so a fingerprinting kit wouldn't be a bad idea.

If footwear were to be opened as a new slot, there could be different kinds.. Stileto Heels [+Charm], Leather Boots [+Tough?], Wingtips [+Charm].. not sure what footwear would make you smarter.. maybe some sensible loafers. ^_^

Here's an idea, too.. what about items that work better [or not at all] for certain genders? I strolled around in a fur coat and hat and felt rather silly.. but damn I was smooth.

Perhaps fingerprinting forensics could possibly be in their infant or pioneering stages then. It would still fit in, if it is a simple kind, not those we have today.

Historically speaking, fingerprint anaylsis launched the forensic revolution in crime investigation. It actually pre-dates widespread thread and hair analysis. The reason I included those and not fingerprinting has to do more with gameplay than with chronology. I couldn't think of a similar way to handle fingerprints.

Now, I'm reluctant to add a fifth type of physical evidence. It would definitely require a lot of balancing and testing to make sure that it didn't disrupt the current relative difficulty levels, etc.

Of course, that doesn't preclude just including a fingerprinting kit as a smarts bonus item. It certainly would make a lot more sense than say, a pipe that makes you smarter or a monkey paw that makes you dumber.

Yeah, a fifth type of evidence would cause problems. You'd need a ninth alibi character who would analyze the evidence, and a tenth to even it out. Ugh, not worth it.

In the defense of the thinking pipe and the monkey paw... Some items and situations really do make you think more clearly, proven in a lot of studies [I wish I had a link to one..]. I, for example, am so used to doing my work in my comfy desk chair that I also sit in it when I'm on the phone - I'm just more focused and relaxed there. I can see how a comforting object, such as a pipe, could have the same effect.

And don't diss the monkey paw. Its magic, it doesn't have to make sense. Thats just what happens when you bring weird stuff home from the congo.

Oh, BTW, is there a reason why the double-breasted coat is an accessory, not an article of clothing? I suppose it could go under a trench coat, couldn't it?

Oops. Thanks SAM. Fixed now. By the way, you did get that from one of your agency teammates, right? It is definitely too good to be showing up from the favors you're doing right now.

Yea, I left it in the locker and SAM is in Fat Kitten. And as a coat I don't think it is as good as either a lab coat or a seal skin coat. Just my opinion. When I saw it in my hand, I thought it was just meant to hang over my arm or something. :-D

Well, I'd rather not wear a seal skin coat.. it just isn't my style. lol If you can't do something in style, it isn't worth doing.

Well, I think even better than the monkey paw is that you can wear a medal that *says* your smart, and actually become smarter. Gotta love it.
