I'm curious, which skill is YOUR favorite and why???

After finishing all my cases using all my useful skills, I wonder which skill does everyone like and why. I don't have these skills yet but I think my favorite skill is either the Pickpocketing skill or Hypnotism. Hypnotism is the most useful skill to me since I am very charming. I like Pickpocketing since I hate losing my money If my client is guilty because I don't paid for the hard work.

Heheheh. Sleuthadmin says what actually the most important skills are further up in this thread.

.......but we still all say research.

So if you are tough, get some intimidation/interrogation. And if charming, sweet talking/rule bending.

Research definitely is more glamourous though....and still my favorite.

Research is the cooolest. It does more than just "clear" someone with a fake (or no) alibi, it has more subtle uses, too:
1. Although you can only clear one suspect per case, you can use it as many times as you want before actually asking for an alibi. When I discover new suspects, I immediately use Research at City Hall BEFORE I ask the suspects for alibis. That way you don't even have to ask an alibi of the suspect who has already been cleared by Research (very useful at higher levels where suspects LOVE to clam)
2. Research can tell you if you have more suspects to discover. For example, if you already have 7 suspects and Research still reveals nothing, then you know you have at least one more suspect to discover!
3. Research ALWAYS works! No chance of failure!
