may i ask if u quit a case, will it be counted as u have done a case? as if u want to be on the gd side of a gang, u have to reject case which oppose it?

Yes. A quitted case counts to your quota of cases per day. Thats the bad news. However, as Geyling mentioned, it will be as though nothing happened. You are safer of quitting than guessing.

One thing affected though is the favor for the townies. If i'm not mistaken, quitting a case causes the next favor to be available later than it should. I think its every three successful cases before another favor.
Someone correct me if i'm wrong.

The question I have is what if I put a case in the crime lab. How does that affect favors?

Putting a case in the case files, whether it be for later use or to run though the crime lab, does not affect the favour count as it is the number of completed cases that counts towards your next favour :)

Generally, as long as you stay in one city, you get a favor for every four completed cases. As this includes favors, it takes a favor and three other cases to get a new favor. If you quit any of the cases, favor or not, they won't count towards a new favor, although they will count towards your total of cases for the day.

It takes four correctly solved and completed cases to earn a new favor, with some occasional exceptions.
