I just was doing a favour for the tailor. I interviewed the only suspect and she wasnt home, so I picked the lock and found her alibi. Then I interviewed her and she wouldnt disclose other suspects even after I interrogated her! Argh! I decided I may as well accuse her since her alibi was false but when I returned she was dead! I just thought I'd upload all my woes onto you all. :) Aren't all suspects supposed to answer at least 1 question before they "clam up"?

Unfortunately not in the harder levels, in your case however I think this particoular suspect needed some sweet talking since you are a male inspector and she was a female character, remember suspects react to gender. I hope I could help.

first of all, the gender thing only relates to the flirting skill, and before you go around and tell people to sweet talk, look at their arch type first

To gunn, that is not true have you read the rules when you created a detective? It says to remember that suspects reacts to gender, flirting enances your chances using your charms with the opposite sex. I'm very charming and still sometimes suspects would react better to intimidation etc. Maybe instead of critisising you could have told Master to get some equipment to strenghten his tough skills.

And one more thing I don't think natalie suggested to sweet talk but she just answered the question: that suspects don't always react in the same way.

yes, flirting does enhance the chances with an opposite sex, which is determined by what sex the suspect or townserson is, none of the other skills have anything to do with the gender of that person to affect how that skill is used,

The skills don't but your gender does that is why you can choose to be a male or a female. It just makes a little bit more interesting, plus it would be a bore if everyone reacted the same way to each other.
