You forgot Germany, although I am a US citizen - but not an American. lol I'm also not affiliated with the Military or Government. I just married a German national. :-P

Aren't Canadians and Mexicans Americans, too? I mean, their countries are all part of North America. Oh! I forgot about all of the people from Brazil, Peru, Costa Rica, ....

We must be United Statecians. (wets her pants laughing)

Oh, and all those people claiming to be other nationalities:

Where you actually born somewhere other than the USA?? Because, my people (family, kin, etc) are scottish (scotch is a drink!! not a person), but I was born in KY and reared throughout various parts of the US. Doesn't make me scottish, even if I was born a Craig.

Ceana, I have had this conversation with many Americans. I can understand why people say they are Irish, or whatever. Because when the question is asked, it can mean several things to people. 1) where did you grow up, 2) what is your ethnical background, 3) which country do you consider coming from, 4) where do your parents, great-grand parents etc come from. 5) what is your nationality.

I think most Americans assume the question to be 2 or 4. While most Europeans would answer it as the asking 1, 3, 5.

I have never heard an American with dutch ancestry claiming.....I am from Holland.
(My next question would be, would that be a the province of north or south holland, as Holland is two provinces, not an actual country. The Netherlands is a country.)

Where in Brazil? I talked to a co-worker the other day. Half way bored on the question, thinking she knew what was going to come next, she said Curritiba. To her great shock, I had actually been there.

Iguacu falls is definitely a shared second place of the most coolest things I have seen.

Man I always wanted to go visit Nashville, still on my to do list.

First is Angkor Wat, in the North part of Cambodia. Part of the first Lara Croft movies was taped there. I was there when Cambodia was at war, for the added excitement I got stuck in a Kmer Rouge attack. I wonder if I would still place it first, now that the Hilton is present, and tour busses stop there.

Ties for second is the area of Rantepao, on the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia. The most fantastic landscape by far.
