Ok, I know, this is a stupid question, but are the factions real? I know LCN is, but what about others?

Eastern Triads would probably relate to the triads (S¨¡nh¨¦hu¨¬) operating from mainland China, various China Towns in US and Macao (to mention a few places).
La Cosa Nostra would be the same as the Italian Mafia (the Organizatsiya is basically the same, although russian).
Order of Socrates, as such, doesn't exist, but does actually exist as some sort of "club" at Concord University (people finishing the pre-law program there are inducted...).
so yeah, some do exist ;)

La Cosa Nostra is another name for the Mafia, generally used referring to the Sicilian Mafia and the sicilian bosses emigrated to the US.
