Is all lost?

Okay, I'm getting the hang of this game now. Well, I have been for a while, but now another problem has arisen:

I'm getting zilch skill points, and have close to no charm skills! People (townspeople as well as suspects) clam up like there's no tomorrow, on -Intermediate- difficulty. Sweet talking works, sometimes, but I can only dream about solving a Hard case.

So, question: have I messed up completely with no chance of ever seeing the "hard" cases solved, or is there a light at the end of the tunnel even for this "very smart" detective (not so smart, as it turns out, eh? :P )?

On the upside - nothing is lost as each case you complete will give you experience points, the accumulation of which will eventually lead to more skill points and thus the possibility of aquiring more skills :)

On the downside skill points do become less frequent as you move along, requiring more experience points before they're activated, and so if you have chosen less "optimal" skills to start with, you may find advancing to higher levels harder, which again will mean that you'll have to do more cases before earning skill points, and thus aquiring new skills which would help you advance to higher levels faster will also take a little longer.

But in all of this you do have the fortune of being in an agency(!!) which means that you when you get stuck on a case, you still have lots(!!) of possibilities of getting through it by help of your fellow detectives ;)
