When a suspect goes into hiding, and the townspeople say this...

"Yeah, I think I know where [name] would run off to in a situation like this, but I don't think he/she is the murderer. I'll see if I can talk him/her into coming out of hiding."

Does it mean the suspect is innocent or should I ignore what the townsperson says?

Ignore it, he/she could be the killer.

Whew, and I assumed they always guessed right. Good thing the people who found the missing suspects in my last two cases had it right. It'll be a long time before I use elimination and fly blind at the same time.

When you get that message, it only means that your suspect that went into hiding is not in hiding no more. That is the same message you will get for every suspect that is in hiding and is found.
