is there any way i can delete some of my detectives so i can use their names?? some are retired

Nope, Sorry Marmalade. Once they are retired they are retired into Sleuth History, and keep their names sacred.

I like the dead idea, but with the retired monicer I envision an old folks home ala Abe Simpson.
