Secret Shadow

There must be others out there that share my love of reading quotes.
I was wondering if anyone would like to share them with me.
At the moment I've been reading a particularly amusing writer called P G Wodehouse, whose one line descriptions are magnificent
From the amusing
"she looked like a tomato struggling for self expression"
To the simply lovely
"from the hills of fairyland sweet music came, or, if we are to be exact, Maud spoke."
my two favourites at the moment are
"the smile disappeared from his face like breath off a razorblade"
and in parody of Shakespeare's
"a man may smile, and smile and be a villain"
is the fabulous
"Many a man may look respectable, and yet be able to hide at will behind a spiral staircase"
another man I recently had the pleasure of reading is a guy called Hillair belloc who wrote "cautionary tales"
The devil, having nothing else to do
Tried to tempt my Lady Fortescue
But my Lady, guided by a private whim,
To his extreme annoyance tempted him
Finally a famous feel good walkaway quote from Oscar Wilde
"We are all of us in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars"

I like quotes too , but I lean more towards the inspirational or comedic myself.. such as
inspirational..
"We must learn to live together as brothers or we will surely perish together as fools" Martin Luther King Jr. or...
for comedy..
"Lead me not into temptation, I can find the way myself" Mae West
