Extending sleuth

It seems to me that a lot of the more experienced players have gripes about the game becoming too easy, or that they have endless skill points they can't use. Others , that if you introduced new skills then the game would become so easy as to be pointless to play, even at its most difficult levels.

If there was enough support though, then what would be the problem with extending the entire game?

I wouldn't know about the programming, but it shouldn't be too difficult.

*Here's an idea*

After a certain number of skill points - rather than experience points- have been achieved, you could unlock entirely new genre's of sleuthing.
After "almost impossible" murders, you could have Kingpin narritives, tracking down underworld crime lords. This type of case could make more use of surveillance/research techniques that could be further refined into seperate areas of expertise. Instead of taking the 10 mysteries per day option you could go undercover, for much longer and more complex cases, with certain greater rewards attached to counter the loss to searching for treasure etc - perhaps including similar style fame bonus's for agencies.

The difference would be that you could approach these cases as an individual and not just as an agency.

Beyond single city kingpin mysteries, you could have international cases, government contracts, international terrorist/smuggling rings etc, these only available to detectives of a certain rank and fame standing, unlocking more level specific

*perhaps these cases could utilise an extention of a detectives choices in interviewing witnesses further than a simple one stage charm or force character test*

To get admin to extend the game these longer mysteries could be done on a -pay per play- basis.

The extra skills involved in completing them could be deemed unnecessary for the murder mysteries(e.g.no need for bomb defusal in a murder case) and so would not unduly effect the difficulty settings in this game.
