What happens when someone says they are going to send you an invitation to join an agency? Do you get a pop-up? an email? Should there be a new thing to click that says agency?

u get a pop up message saying someone has invited u to join ______ agency do u accept? then there is a link to click on to except

Thank you. If someone told me they would send me an invitation, how long should I wait for it? I was told I would get an invitation a day ago and haven't heard anything since.
