Can anyone tell me what Research skill is good for or how you use it?
I am not more than a few weeks with this game and there is no visible link where I can read about what the skill is about.

Anyway, let me explain this a bit clearer:

"Research: You can find useful information about cases in the Hall of Records, located in City Hall"

If you have the skill, go to The Hall of Records in City Hall. Once you have all of your suspects, "Reaserch Your Current Case." You'll find an article about someone with a false or no alibi. He/she could be a drunkard, a pervert etc., but the suspect will not be the killer. This skill will prove it. It is one of THE BEST skills ever. It costs 13 points for someone without smarts, 11 for a combo of smarts and another type, and I believe 9 points for a Very Smart person.

If you're really watching how many questions you're asking, it's great to do research when you have one less suspect than the max for the level you're on. That way, if research comes up empty, you know the person you're missing is innocent anyway, and you save some question power. Fine-tuning, I know...
