As a noobie, I've wondered which one is the best out of all of them. It seems that tough and charm does mostly the same thing with interrogation matching sweet talking and intimidation matching rule bending, but tough has the lock picking which is good. Smart seems to be a lot different with the evidences and helps more with treasure hunting? (correct me if I'm wrong about the treasure) If I decide to subscribe and want to go treasure hunting with an agency, should I make a new smart detective because I'm a very charming detective right now.

Any advice or suggestions for which one of the 3 is the best overall, or special things?

If I already got interrogation, is there a way I can reset my skills? That's the only tough skill I have and basically it was a waste.

Nope. You are stuck with it, once you have it. But don't worry, if you keep playing and get all the charming and smarts skills, having the tough skills at that time will help you. In the harder cases it can be worth judging the suspects character to see which approach is likely to work better, and even changing gear to support that approach. I can't recommend subscribing highly enough. Not only does it support the creator of this great game, but it takes your game play to a whole new level. Go for it! : )

Your type only influence how much you pay for your skills. Smart has no advantage in hunts.
If you bought a skill that is not usefull, you cant "unlearn" it. But as moonsh said it might be usefull later.
