okay, i went and tried to do a favor for LCN but i was unable to answer enough questions correctly. Do i search around trying to find someone to ask me questions again or have i lost the chance to complete the favor???

You're talking about a "little job," which is for a faction, rather than a "favor," which is for a townsperson. You'll have another chance to do a little job for LCN tomorrow, or actually, after the server resets tonight. It will bring your points up with LCN and down with the other two factions in the city you are in.

Google and some specific websites regarding Sherlock Holmes, etc., can be helpful in answering the questions correctly, and it's also worth remembering the answers for the future, as they repeat over time.
