Hi, thanks for this great game, ye creators!

I've gone through about 20 pages in this newbie forum, and I haven't found much about the cutscenes (except Larry the Toe etc). Anything I have seen seems to confirm my suspicions that they are inconsequential (I tried for a while documenting "clues" in these cutscenes, but got differing results).

The only one I wonder about is the one where the woman at the train stops you and then when you solve the case, she gripes about how she'll never see her son again because of the Order of Soc etc...

Are ALL the cutscenes just there for ambience? If so, it would be cool if they were changed to mean something... Especially if there were extremely rare plot twists that indicated a rare treasure opportunity or something.

Good, I'm glad my memory wasn't playing tricks on me! In the first bloody photo case I was pretty sure the person in the photo was guilty, but later she wasn't. Thanks for confirming.

Also, I'm noticing it's ambiguous to refer to a plot twist as "Pansy Dew" since she is involved in at least two twists (e.g. niece in the country, suspect handcuffed by police).

That would be cool if when a twist reveals the name of someone it also showed up on your list. Sigh...

Thanks for the replies and clarifying things.

I'm glad I checked this thread! Like LastTrain, I had my first encounter with the bloody photo be the guilty party and had assumed that would always be the case, but I guess not.
