Hi, thanks for this great game, ye creators!

I've gone through about 20 pages in this newbie forum, and I haven't found much about the cutscenes (except Larry the Toe etc). Anything I have seen seems to confirm my suspicions that they are inconsequential (I tried for a while documenting "clues" in these cutscenes, but got differing results).

The only one I wonder about is the one where the woman at the train stops you and then when you solve the case, she gripes about how she'll never see her son again because of the Order of Soc etc...

Are ALL the cutscenes just there for ambience? If so, it would be cool if they were changed to mean something... Especially if there were extremely rare plot twists that indicated a rare treasure opportunity or something.

Beside the one with the picture of the woman with the magnifying glass, and the Larry the Toe one, they are unimportant and just for ambience.

Isn't a suspect cleared of the list in the Bloody Photo/Nightmare one?
After all, that was the planned next victim eh.

Picture of the woman with the magnifying glass? Is that different from the one with the bloody photo/nightmare? Wait! Don't tell me. I'll see it and figure it out for my own enjoyment.

Thanks! :)

Oh, I just remembered; another one that can be useful occasionally is the one where the gossip Pansy Dew (is this some sort of play on Nancy Drew?) saw one of the suspects led away in handcuffs.

If you don't know if you've still got another suspect, it may mention a suspect you haven't picked up yet. I guess this could occasionally save you $20 at the fortune teller...

I always question the person mentioned as a bloody photo very quickly ;)

Bloody photo doesn't clear anybody. Either (if they are innocent) you find the second photo and and guilty party was planning on killing them too, or(if it is the guilty person) for some reason they had photographed themselves too.

but I've had it be the guilty person.

Thank you for saying this, Dogberta! I was beginning to worry about people getting falses as I read the above posts.

Does the Pansy Dew one make the suspect show up on the list now, if it wasn't there before? I remember a request for this, but I didn't know it had been implemented...I must always have all my suspects by the time she shows up! Or...equally possible...I haven't noticed the change...

The Pansy Dew mention does not make the suspect show up on the list.

Dogberta is right, I've also had the suspect in the bloody photo turn out to be guilty. In fact, the first time I ever saw it that was what happened, and I thought it may ALWAYS be the guilty person. It certainly isn't, as others have correctly mentioned.

Good, I'm glad my memory wasn't playing tricks on me! In the first bloody photo case I was pretty sure the person in the photo was guilty, but later she wasn't. Thanks for confirming.

Also, I'm noticing it's ambiguous to refer to a plot twist as "Pansy Dew" since she is involved in at least two twists (e.g. niece in the country, suspect handcuffed by police).

That would be cool if when a twist reveals the name of someone it also showed up on your list. Sigh...

Thanks for the replies and clarifying things.
