Hello all,

I just started playing the game, well, tonight and I had a couple questions.

I just played one game where one person had a fake alibi but the foot prints didn't match and no other evidence and yet, he did it.

Can you be stuck and have to guess? Or is there always a way out? I couldn't get anyone to talk no matter what I did, so I just guessed (wrongly may I add).

I'm just trying to get a grasp of the game before I put alot of time into it.

Thanks in advance.

hey jack. there are always 4 pieces of evidence at each scene. if you don't have all of the evidence skills (handwriting, footprint, thread and hair), you probably won't find all 4 pieces of evidence. my guess is that there was evidence that corresponded to your guilty guy, you just didn't get it when searching the scene. yes, you can be stuck and have to guess!

Keep in mind that if you guess wrongly too many times (3) you will be retired and that name may no longer be used to solve cases. If you DO get another false accusation, my suggestion is to go visit the Shady Character who sits at the back of the bar.

When you go to the crime scene. You get your Evidence. Fake alibi plus Physical and or Witness is all it takes. Since you had ppl clam on you, you had to guess. I suggest if you are put in that situation again where you have no clue. Quit the case.

smokey- i think its 4 pieces only in the higher levels it could be less. and also u can get notes and prints without the skills but u'll never get thread and hair without the basic skill to find them. if u dress smart it helps too.

Thanks all.
I have two false acusations which sucks because I love my name :(

From now on, unless I know for a fact, no guessing.

You can clear your accusation record for a fee. Go to the Shady Guy down at the Tricky Mister's Bar. He'll quote you the price for a clean slate.

(Ps. Before solving more cases, you may wish to sift through the message boards to pick up all these hints. They are littered everywhere.)
