...For a Change!

Just had to celebrate this event in public, and as a counterpoint to the Murphy's Law thread.

I just opened an almost impossible case with three pieces of evidence, one of which was a thread. Threads are good, as I have the Tailor as a contact.

Neglecting to get any more suspects than the two that were there when the case opened, I went straight to the Tailor. Now, I NEVER solve cases this way...

BUT the first person I asked the Tailor about was the one matched with the thread, and when I went to him to ask about his alibi, he told me he didn't have one, I accused him, and the case was closed.

I think that's maybe the fastest case I have ever solved (fewest steps), and I think it's hilarious that it was an almost impossible one.

So it just goes to show.......well, something!

That every now and then we just get lucky?

; )

Was working on a hard case. Used research to get rid of a suspect. Then checked everyone's alibis and had two suspects with bad/no alibi. Go to interview one of the suspects, he's dead.

I didn't have any evidence against him, but I was pretty darn sure the not dead guy was guilty. I was tempted to just accuse him there, but decided it would be fun to see how much evidence was against him. Asked all the suspects about him and tested all the PE against him. Sure enough, 2 WE's and a PE were against him.
