Any skill you think would be useful/cool, mention it here. If you can tag it with a type (smart, tough, charming). Also, lets try to match up new skills of each type with each other.

Passport skill (Smarts) - Reduces the cost of travelling between cities by 1 turn.
An expensive skill (say 20 points) that is aimed at subscribed agency members to help with Treasure Hunts.
Snear (Tough) - Randomly unclams one suspect.
Not very expensive (say 10 points and the unclammed suspect is totally random (may not even be a clammed person). Can only be used once per case.
Smile (Charm) - The charming equivalent of Snear

I think it would be cool to have like a counterfeit skill for smarts so that you can counterfeit money once per case. If there was intermediate and advanced counterfeit then you get a higher chance of producing passsable money AND a higher chance of producing more money.
You could also have a counterfeit machine for an agency to help get more money for an angency.
I think it would also be cool if an agency could have seperate rooms. Message board room, central point, treasure hunt room, hall of fame, Equipment room, etc.

I think it would be cool to have a money machine so you can put your money in and you dobble it. and you could have a bedroom for your detective.

..That suspect wouldn't be Santa, would it, Chelsea?...
Heh heh.
Skill: Concentration
To be used on an un-cooperative PE Witness like the Tailor (Silk Merchant), Shoe Maker (Podiatrist), Barber, or Banker (Librarian, Calligraphist, Postal Clerk). Gives you 2 free shots everytime you see him/her to analyse a thread, hair, note, or footprint. Doesn't count on contacts.
Just a suggestion.

Hm, how about just getting a "Solve Case" Button.
Everytime you're stuck, just click it and it solves ye case for you :P

I second the idea of a "Solve Case" button. I know some of you will complain about cases becoming too easy, but this could be solved by making them slightly harder. :D

In the game you can deduct footprints, handwriting, hair and threads. How come in a DETECTIVE game, we can't look for FINGERPRINTS? To make it a little harder, several objects on the crime scene can be covered with fingerprints of more than one suspect. This forces you to be a better judge of the situation to check out the relevance of your physical evidence.

Also it would make the game more exciting if the detective can be shot or otherwise attacked by a suspect. Your detective will have to practise shooting or martial arts in order to avoid to be severely injured in the game.

The skill "judge of character" could also be worked out more profoundly. The detective can train to become a "profiler".
