Any skill you think would be useful/cool, mention it here. If you can tag it with a type (smart, tough, charming). Also, lets try to match up new skills of each type with each other.

I want an assistant! It could be like 20 skill points and you have to be in good with 2 specific factions! I'll be there!

I'm trying to train Buttercup the Bloodhound to do it (with Rem in NY-someone has to feed her) and she keeps messing up the Asain names.

I like the assistant idea and for favors, Incredibly Hard level is just fine for me. I think favors that would be at the level Almost Impossible, well, would be ABOUT impossible to do, unless you had 3 pieces of evidence that was for the contact you have (like me, 3 fps would be great lol) and doing favs, you cant use others contacts for help so, even tho it may be more challenging, it would be almost too difficult, and wouldnt get anywhere on hunts. Right now, it is challenging enough at Incredibly Hard with having no help from others, etc. So I hope that stays just how it is!

Heck, I wouldn't care if their names were English or not. I would just settle for being able to tell their gender without taking notes on it!

For the harder cases, I'd like to see other options besides intimidate or charm to get the suspects to talk. How about something like "Appeal to the intellect."It would allow the "Smart" detectives a chance to stretch some of their muscle instead of relying on charm or intimidation. We could also do something like "Body Language" that could either enhance the judgement of character, or stand out by itself.

The "body language" could fit into the charm. And for the tough, maybe we could have a particular weapons expertise, such as "Fencing expert" or "Gun expert", and to keep things interesting, after we could possibly have to requalify to maintain the rank, or we could choose to work for another weapon.

I personally think that a quick overview case files curly, straight, left, right etc would be a good skill. As they make the came easier to do faster, yet not easier to solve.

Ok, let me redirect the thread a little...

What skills would help you make better decisions without actually helping solve the case? Some examples are most of the basic smarts skills (except research which completely eliminates one suspect), judge of character, and stress detection.

ESP (charm) - Gives you a hunch that a particular person might die/get killed.

Sharp Eye (smarts) - You can see train/plane tickets, bags packed, etc ... indicates suspect might flee.

To even things out, the above 2 skills should trigger on 2 or 3 suspects.

Advanced Lockpicking (Tough) - Works just like lockpicking except that it's only useable when the suspect flees. I've always wondered why you go into the apartment when the guys gone and don't take a look around.
