I wonder if there would be any way, or how difficult it would be, to make it where ONLY the Directors could sell items from the Equipment Locker?
Be like how rookies have no access to the locker. It could be made that Agents have access ofcourse but Directors ONLY are the only ones able to sell anything from there.
Might be a bad idea but, I think it would be cool to have it that way.

I think what DaRu has done, most agencies have done in one form or another. But deadbeat thieves, tend to ignore it. :)

Ok, another idea ...
What if you could mark certain gear as "Agency Gear". Agency gear can be used by anyone, but it belongs to the agency and its members. Attempting to leave an agency with agency gear on would not be allowed. A director could mark equipment as Agency Gear. The "tough" part is how to unmark it or sell it. The only thing I can come up with is that Agency gear is also assigned to someone (maybe just a director) and that that director can unmark, sell, or even take the item. If the director leaves, the item would have to be reassigned. Thoughts?

I think the biggest problem with all of this is trying to protect people from themselves.

Daru's idea of before log out is not practical. I play from several computers, and quite often close down, jump to another computer and log back in. If I were to not see my detective as I left it I would be upset. But under the "no log out rule" my dective's gear would automaticaly change if I am in the middle of working a case.

And the other options of marking gear with additional tages that only certain people can use is already there. We have Officer and Director level controls.

I do agree with JST that a more gradulated agency title would be nice. It would be more work for the director to set up and maintain, which is good. And it still puts the final choices in the hands of those directors in who can do what.

Off to start yet another thread for that idea.
