Texan and I just received a phone from his sister, who lives near Houston, TX, saying "Hurricane Rita," is headed their way, so they're packing and leaving to find a safe place of shelter. All of Texan's family & a ton of friends lives in Houston, so please pray that God will protect them all from harm. Thankfully, our area, San Antonio, isn't in it's path, but we could face flooding as well as high winds. Thanks to all for your prayers.

Not to make light of a very serious situation, but I was beginning to wonder if things had gotten so bad they had to mail their phone to you with a message taped to it...since they couldn't call you. :-D

I do see you corrected it.

I would imagine, in San Antonio, that you're now going to get even more hurricane refugees headed your way. I certianly wish the best for all of you.

Good come back "Last Train," and funny too. I could just see it in my mind..lol. Well, a little humor doesn't hurt to help take one's mind of their worries.

Thank you my sweet friend Makensie. We just talked to his Mom, and our daughter in Houston, and tried to convience them all to come here to San Antonio, but they're going to stay there. What makes us so afraid is Rita's getting stronger by the hour and there's no way to know what might happen. Anyway, I will keep everyone updated.

Last I had heard, Rita was just a tropical storm, hardly even capable of Category 2 standards, and all of a sudden, it's Category 5! It's definitely not a good hurricane season here in the U.S., eh?

Luniar it's amazing how quickly things can change. Lately it seems nature's fury has been unleashed. In my short life span, I've not experienced anything like these storms in Texas, and I'm praying Rita will quickly lose strength after it hits land.
